Surface Treatment Work – South Pine Road, Everton Park
South Pine Road, Everton Park – High friction surface treatment works
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be undertaking safety improvement works on South Pine Road near Pullen Road, Everton Park in late April 2025.
These works were originally planned for late March 2025 but were postponed due to inclement weather. The works are being undertaken to improve road safety for all road users.
Work activities
- Installation of high friction surface treatment
- Skid resistance testing
- Reinstating line marking.
Timing
- Works will be undertaken at night on Monday 28 April and Tuesday 29 April 2025, construction and weather conditions permitting.
- These works require dry weather conditions. If the conditions are not suitable on these dates, works will be undertaken on the next available Monday and Tuesday nights.
- Typical construction hours will be from 8 pm to 5 am.
- While majority of the works will be undertaken at night, some out of hours works may be required.
Expected impacts
- Traffic changes will be in effect, including localised traffic detours (access to Pullen Road will be restricted at times with a detour required), traffic holds, temporary lane closures, temporary speed reductions and other short-term traffic disruptions with traffic control.
- Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to experience short term impacts including increased noise, dust, and odour during the works.
- Access to private properties will be maintained during the works.
- Reversing beepers and flashing lights are a safety requirement and will be used at all times during working hours.
- Temporary diversions to the bike/shared path or pedestrian footpath may be in place during works. Please follow traffic control in place.
On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality. In some cases, TMR may need to do further work at the location to rectify any defects.
Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.
TMR appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are carried out.
