Cleveland-Redland Bay Road Upgrade
Cleveland-Redland Bay Road upgrade (Anita Street to Magnolia Parade duplication) – Benfer Road to Anita Street traffic switch
Update: March 2025
Tropical Cyclone Alfred significantly impacted South-East Queensland, with the Redlands area particularly affected. Our construction crews worked closely with Energex and the Queensland Police Service to remove fallen power lines from the project site.
While our workers are still fixing cyclone damage, the following construction activities remain planned for March:
- northbound traffic will be moved onto new roadway (western side) between Benfer Road and Anita Street
- new pedestrian paths at Benfer Road
- centre median works will continue, including along Benfer Road
- completing the road connection of Creekwood Street to Cleveland-Redland Bay Road
- on-going landscaping and tree planting.
Some night work is required that will take place closer to motorists. This is so barriers can be moved and traffic signal posts put in place. There will be increased noise and light during the night-time work.
TMR appreciates the community’s patience. We remain committed to keeping the project moving and keeping you informed.
