Night Investigation Works – Lindum Rail Crossing Upgrade

Lindum rail crossing upgrade – Night investigation works

Brisbane City Council will be undertaking survey investigation works at night on Kianawah Road in Wynnum West. These investigations are required to identify underground services to inform the design for the Lindum rail crossing upgrade.

Works will take place at night from Monday 11 November 2024, between 7pm and 5am and will take approximately 2 nights to complete, weather and site conditions permitting. In the event of wet weather, works will take place on the next available night.

The works will involve saw cutting the road pavement and potholing. Temporary lane closures will be in place while the works are underway. Traffic control will be onsite to assist people moving through the area.

These works are being undertaken at night when traffic volumes are lowest to ensure the safety of road users and workers and to minimise traffic disruptions. Residents and businesses near to the work area may see workers onsite and notice an increase in lighting, noise, and truck movements. We will make every effort to minimise disruption to the local community.

If you have any questions, please contact the project team on 3178 5413 between 8.30am and 4.30pm or email cityprojects@brisbane.qld.gov.au. After hours, please call Council’s 24-hour Contact Centre on 3403 8888.
