Update: April 2025

These works are being undertaken as the trees on TMR land are impacting private property and road safety.
Work activities

- Removal of one Stringybank tree (Eucalyptus Eugenioides).
- Replanting every removed tree with four new plants by mid-June 2025.
Timing
- Works are scheduled to commence late April 2025 and are expected to take five days to complete, site and weather conditions permitting.
- Typical construction hours will be from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Expected impacts
- Temporary construction noise: Use of machinery and plant will be required during these works. Neighbouring residents and businesses can expect some increased noise, dust, and odour. Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used for safety.
- Access to private properties: Access to private properties will be maintained during the works. Where temporary access changes are required, property/business owners will be contacted directly.
- Environment: A qualified arborist will be engaged to supervise the removal of the trees in a way which minimises the impact to the environment. Fauna spotter catchers will be in place throughout the tree clearing to relocate any wildlife, as necessary.
On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality. In some cases, TMR may need to do further work at the location to rectify any defects.
Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.
TMR appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are carried out.
